Eksisjambi.com- Menteri Pertahanan Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, menghadiri Rapat Paripurna DPR RI ke-15 dalam Masa Persidangan II Tahun Sidang 2024-2025. Rapat yang digelar di Gedung Nusantara II, DPR RI, Senayan, Jakarta Pusat, pada Kamis (20/3), membahas tahap akhir atau pengambilan keputusan terhadap revisi Undang-Undang Nomor 34 Tahun 2004 tentang Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI).
Rapat ini dipimpin oleh Ketua DPR RI, Puan Maharani, dan bersifat terbuka untuk umum. Ketua Komisi I DPR RI, Utut Adianto, menyampaikan laporan hasil pembahasan revisi UU TNI, mencakup proses penyusunan, substansi perubahan, serta mekanisme pengawasan anggaran.
Pada tahap pengambilan keputusan, seluruh fraksi menyatakan persetujuan untuk mengesahkan RUU menjadi undang-undang.
“Sebagai Menteri Pertahanan, saya menegaskan bahwa jati diri TNI sebagai tentara rakyat, tentara pejuang, dan tentara profesional akan terus dijaga demi melindungi kedaulatan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI),” tegas Menhan Sjafrie.

Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin attended the 15th Plenary Session of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the Second Session of the 2024-2025 Legislative Year. Held at Nusantara II Building, DPR RI, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (20/3), the session focused on the final deliberation and decision-making regarding the revision of Law Number 34 of 2004 on the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI).
The session was presided over by the Speaker of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, and was open to the public. Chairman of Commission I of the DPR RI, Utut Adianto, presented a report on the revision, outlining the legislative drafting process, substantive amendments, and budget oversight mechanisms.
During the decision-making stage, all factions expressed their approval for the bill to be enacted into law.
“As Minister of Defence, I affirm that the TNI’s identity as the people’s army, a fighting force, and a professional military will continue to be upheld to safeguard the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI),” Minister Sjafrie asserted.(*)
